Gregg's Blue Mistflower - Conoclinium (Eupatorium) greggii - is a native Texas perennial and THE plant to have in your butterfly garden. Its sweet, nectar-filled, lavender / blue flowers bloom all summer and into fall and attract butterflies like crazy, especially Queen butterflies. It grows 1 - 2 feet tall and spreads by rhizomes, so don’t put this plant anywhere that you don’t want it everywhere. Plant in full sun to part sun and pray you can contain it. It’s tough and easy to grow, is heat tolerant, and somewhat drought tolerant, but you’ll get a better, more consistent bloom with regular watering.
