Hello & welcome to Harnetty Railways Coming up We pay another visit to The East Lancashire Railway during there Blue Timetable operations The steam loco operating on the day of my visit was Ian Riley's ex LMS Black 5 44871. We start at Bury Bolton Street as we see 44871 leave Baron Street sheds ready to work the 1st train of the day to Rawtenstall. Before the 9.30am train departed I was invited to have a look on the footplate of the 1T57 icon of 1968. We boarded the 9.30am train to Rawtenstall (not recorded) as we see 44871 run round ready for the 12 mile run to Heywood. From Heywood our main filming commenced for the 12 mile run to Rawtenstall. 44871 ran magnificently during the run to Rawtenstall. We opted for another run from Heywood but only as far as Ramsbottom were I would leave the train and see 44871 depart for Rawtenstall. I headed back to Bury by Bus to see 44871 arrive and I re boarded the train for the last round trip to Heywood of the day. We end this video as we begun at Bury as we see 44871 reversing the stock away before heading off to the sheds to get serviced. Thanks for reading enjoy the film
