This recipe is made with spicy mashed potato stuffing, coated in flavorful besan batter, and deep fried until golden and crispy. Bread Pakoda is one of the most loved street food snacks in India, especially during Ramadan evenings when everyone craves something crunchy and satisfying. This recipe is very easy to make at home and tastes exactly like street-style bread pakoras. Serve these hot and crispy Bread Pakodas with green chutney or ketchup and enjoy a perfect Iftar snack with your family. If you enjoyed this recipe, don’t forget to Like, Share, and Subscribe to Apple Food Zaika for more delicious recipes. 🧾 Ingredients For Potato Stuffing 3 boiled potatoes 1 small onion (finely chopped) 1 green chilli (chopped) ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste 2 tbsp coriander leaves 1 tsp lemon juice For Batter 1 cup besan (gram flour) 2 tbsp rice flour (for crispiness) ½ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp ajwain Salt to taste Water as required Other 6 bread slices Oil for deep frying 👨🍳 Recipe / Method 1️⃣ Heat a little oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. 2️⃣ Add chopped onion and green chilli, sauté for 1–2 minutes. 3️⃣ Add boiled mashed potatoes, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt. 4️⃣ Mix well and cook for 2–3 minutes. 5️⃣ Add coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix and turn off the flame. 6️⃣ In a bowl, prepare batter by mixing besan, rice flour, turmeric, red chilli powder, ajwain, salt and water. 7️⃣ Make a smooth medium-thick batter. 8️⃣ Take a bread slice, spread potato stuffing and cover with another slice. 9️⃣ Cut diagonally into triangles. 🔟 Dip each bread piece into the batter and coat well. 1️⃣1️⃣ Heat oil in a pan and deep fry on medium flame until golden and crispy. 1️⃣2️⃣ Remove and serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup. 🔥 Pro Tips Add rice flour to make pakodas extra crispy. Fry on medium heat for even cooking.
