The old Faulhaber bicycle seat factory sat empty for a few years until my brother and I purchased it to be the new home of our Old School Warehouse store. 2 years later I talked my wife into selling our home and fixing up an area on the second floor. Most of the work was completed in about 4 1/2 months. Being in the Repurposing and resale business has come in handy while decorating our home. The doors all came from 1 school in Northern Ohio. All of the lighting is repurposed old lighting. The industrial style bathroom features a custom diamond plate counter with the original old sink found in a back room in the factory. The kitchen cabinets are all old school cabinets from Cleveland Ohio. The kitchen island was salvaged from the old Toledo Woodard High School before it was demolished. The counter top is an old bowling lane from Lincoln Park. One of the more unique pieces I incorporated from the old bicycle seat factory is in the media room (Springroom bar). The old paint dipping tank and conveyor line they used to hang the old seat pans for painting, is now the repurposed bar and lighting track with bicycle seat bar stools. We still have some light work like some minor finish work in the spare bedrooms and try to decide on a paint or stain color for the walls, but it has been a fun project!
