Day 2 of our Scotland road trip takes us deep into the Highlands — where castles, cows, and coastal sunsets steal the show. We start our morning at Kilchurn Castle, one of Scotland’s most photogenic ruins, before meeting a few friendly Highland cows along the way. Next, we visit St Conan’s Kirk — a beautiful, eccentric church where you can see an effigy and even a fragment of bone belonging to Robert the Bruce. After a quick stop at Dunstaffnage Marina to take in the calm coastal views, we arrive in Oban — a charming harbor town and gateway to the Isles. We explore the waterfront, watch the historic paddle steamer PS Waverley pull into port, and finish the day climbing up to McCaig’s Tower for one of the most unforgettable sunsets of my life.
