The Maxus MIFA 9 is said to be the first luxury EV MPV 7-seater. It comes in 2 variants - Premium at MYR289,888 and Luxury at MYR269,888. From the side, it looks like the Alphard or the Vellfire but from the front, it looks more stylish with its sleek LED strip and headlight similar to that on the Xpeng G6. No busy grille or chrome overkill. It's current EV MPV competitors - the Zeekr 009 and the Denza D9 - both have busy grille designs. It's longer, wider and has longer wheelbase than the Alphard but is not as tall. It has a range of 435 km (WLTP) thanks to its 90 kWh battery and does the century sprint in 9.2 seconds. The MIFA 9 is loaded with tech inside. It even comes with a 3-pin socket for the second row passengers who will enjoy captains chair comfort. What it does not have is a fridge or chiller, which is found on the more expensive Zeekr 009 and the similarly priced Denza D9. Also, it could do with more USB-C ports, which is only found on the captains chairs. Legroom is a plenty for all 3 rows. There's even a frunk for your smelly items (think family trips to the beach). We say get the Luxury variant if you plan to carry your family in it but if you want to be chauffeur driven, just get the Premium version.
