Supreme Court Allows Former Karnataka Minister G Reddy To Visit Bellary For A Month Time | Law Today

Supreme Court today allowed the mining baron and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, accused in a multi-crore mining scam, to visit Bellary in Karnataka for a month. A bench of Justice MR Shah directed the concerned trial court to conclude the trial in six months time. Reddy had filed a plea seeking permission to visit his native district of Bellary, to meet his daughter, who delivered a baby recently. Reddy is an accused of changing mining lease boundary markings and indulging in illegal mining in the Bellary Reserve Forest area.
