There is a seven tiered East facing Rajagopuram and to its left is a row of Gopurams with different Deities on top of it. Facing the main road is an East facing Anjaneyar on a Sthambam and close to this is another East facing Idol of Sri Aadhi Balachandra Vinayagar along with a few Naga Devathas. Beyond the Rajagopuram is a Dwajasthambam or Kodimaram, a Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam and a Nandhi Vaahanam within a four pillared Mandapam facing the Moolasthanam. There is a multi pillared Mandapam and each of those pillars bear a Divine Idol on them. Devotees may have to climb five to six steps to reach the Moolasthanam. While doing so there is a Sub Shrine for Sri Natarajar who is unique here since He is seen dancing and lifting His right leg instead of the usual left leg. Lord Natarajar is seen here with His Consort Goddess Sivakami. The Sub Shrine of Sri Natarajar is fully gold plated and looks dazzling and eye captivating. Before the threshold of Sri Natarajar are the Idols of Pathanjali Munivar and Vyakarapaadha Munivar. There are two Dwara Baalgas on the way to the Moolasthanam. Anukyai Vinayagar and Murugan stand guard on either side. In the Sanctum Sanctorum Sri Amuthalingeshwarar is seen East facing in the form of a Shiva LIngam. He looks splendiferous to the eyes of the Devotees. The Idols of the Urchavamoorthys are safely displayed and kept in an enclosure. Around the Koshtam are the Idols of Dhakshinamoorthy, Lingothbhavar or Annamalai, Durgai Amman and Chandikeshwarar. In the inner peripheral the Idols of the 63 Naayanmaars along with the Sapthamathas viz Brahmmi, Maheswari, Goumari, Vaishnavi, Vaarahi, Indrani and Chamundi are seen North facing. Close to them are the Idols of Veerabadrar and Vinayagar who too are North facing. In the corridors there is a huge East facing Selva Vinayagar, Annapoorani, Aboorva Sahasra Lingam, Amman Samedha Pancha Lingams, Arputha Ashtothra Sadha Lingam, Shantha Sarabeshwarar and Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar. The Idols of Mahalakshmi and Saneeswarar are seen South facing. There is a Kaala Bhairavar Sub Shrine facing Westwards and close to this is a Navagraha Sannadhi. Unlike other Temples Surya Bhagwan is seen along with His Consorts Usha and Prathiyusha whereas Chandra Bhagwan is seen with His Consorts Rohini and Karthigai facing the Moolasthanam. Between the Amuthalingeshwarar Shrine and Ambal's Shrine is an artificial Sacred Tank with a Lotus design at its centre. Facing this Potraamarai Kulam is an Idol of Vinayagar. The Ambal is known here as Amuthavalli Ambal and there is a small Neivedhya Peedam, a Dwajasthambam and a Nandhi Vaahanam facing the Ambal's Shrine. The Ambal's Shrine is East facing and She is seen in a standing posture. Devotees may have to climb a few steps to reach the Shrine of Sri Amudhavalli Ambal. At the entrance of Her Moolasthanam there are two Dwara Baalagi Idols and they are known as Dwara Sakthis. At the threshold of Ambal's Shrine is an Idol of Vinayagar and Murugan. There is a Palliayarai in the multi pillared Mandapam of Ambal. Around the Koshtam of the Ambal are the Idols of Iccha Sakthi, Kiriya Sakthi, Gnana Sakthi and Chandikeshwari. To the rear of the Ambal Sannadhi are the Idols of Vallaba Ganapathy, Karpagavalli Ambal and Bala Shanmugar. Apart from the Easwaran Sannadhi and the Ambal Sannadhi there is yet another Perumal Sannadhi which is rare to see. The Sannadhi of Sri Varadharaja Perumal is slightly elevated and Devotees may have to have climb five to six steps. There is a pair of Dwara Baalakas who stand guard here. In the East facing Moolasthanam Sri Varadaraja Perumal is seen flanked by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. Facing the Shrine of Sri Varadharaja Perumal is a Garudalwar Sannadhi. There is a Sorga Vaasal within the Sri Varadharaja Perumal Sannadhi. Close to the Shrine of Sri Varadaraja Perumal are the Sub Shrines for Sri Anjaneyar, Sri Chitraguptan, Sri Ramanujar, Sri Nammalwar, Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar and Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar who are all North facing. To the rear of Sri Varadaraja Perumal Sannadhi is another East facing Sub Shrine for Sri Aadhi Kesava Perumal who is seen flanked by Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. Sri Chakkarathalwar and Sri Yoga Narasimhar are seen back to back in their Shrine. The Temple also has a West facing Sri Palani Andavar Sannadhi and He is seen in a standing posture. In the Temple's outer peripheral there is a North facing Sub Shrine for Sri Vaazhavandha Amman. She looks resplendent and could be seen in a standing posture. It is one of the rarest Temples in which they have kept all the Temple Vaahanams intact within a glass enclosure. There is another East facing Sannadhi with 18 steps meant for Ayyappa Swamy.
