This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. If you want to be someone who matters do things that matter. Kalsoom Lakhani runs Invest2Innovate (i2i), which backs Pakistani innovators and their startups through its Accelerator program, to build an entrepreneurship ecosystem in this nascent market. She is also an ambassador for Sandbox, a global network of innovators under 30, and a member of the World Economig Forum's Global Shapers. Lakhani was featured in Diplomatic Courier's Top 99 Foreign Policy Leaders under 33 in 2012, and as Ashoka Changemakers and American Express' Emerging Innovator for 2013. She wrote the blog Changing Up Pakistan (CHUP) and has been published in the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, Foreign Policy and Dawn. She has mentored young entrepreneurs in Cambodia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. She graduated with an M.A. in International Affairs and Conflict Resolution from The George Washington University.
