These sweet maple jalapeno poppers will blow your mind. Maple season is over and now we have a lot of flavourful homemade Maple Syrup to let our cooking minds explode with ideas on how to use this elixir in our delicious recipes. In this episode we figured we would use some maple sugar that we made to add a kick to the traditional Jalapeno Poppers. We named it Sweet Maple Jalapeno Poppers. We combined the cream cheese with homemade Maple Sugar, cored the jalapeno peppers, coated the inside with our sweet maple whisky BBQ sauce the proceeded to fill each pepper with this maple sugar cream cheese, wrapped them with bacon, cooked them on the Traeger pellet grill, slapped more sweet maple whiskey BBQ sauce on them, let them sit for a bit then filled our tummy with these hot sweet maple Jalapeno poppers. They were a hit that will remain in our recipe book forever. This is how we did them. RECIPE Ingredients Sweet Maple Whisky BBQ Sauce • 1 cup of ketchup • ½ cup Jack Daniels Whisky • ½ cup maple syrup • 3 tbs Apple cider vinegar • 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce • 1 ½ tbs honey mustard dressing or mustard • 1 tbs liquid smoke • 2 tsp garlic powder • 2 tsp onion powder • ¼ tsp black pepper • 2 tsp hot sauce Directions • Add all ingredients to a sauce pan • Bring to a boil then simmer for 25 to 30 minutes to thicken • Remove from heat and store it in a mason jar and refrigerate Sweet Maple Jalapeno Poppers • 5 medium size jalapeno peppers • ¼ cup maple sugar • ¼ tsp salt • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 block of cream cheese • ¾ lbs sliced bacon • ½ cup of Sweet Maple whiskey BBQ Sauce Directions • Mix the maple sugar with the cream cheese • Add the garlic powder and salt to the mixture • Mix well • Remove stem from jalapeno peppers keeping the tops • Using a grapefruit tool remove the seeds and insides of the pepper • Coat the inside of the peppers with the sweet maple whisky BBQ sauce • Fill each Jalapeno peppers with the cream cheese mixture • Put tops back on • Using a bacon strip wrap the pepper lengthwise making a hole for the stem to go through • Using a 2nd bacon slice wrap it around the jalapeno pepper • Start your Traeger and set it to 400℉ • Place the poppers on the grill for 10 minutes • After 10 minutes flip them over and cook the for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until bacon is cooked • Generously slap some sweet maple whiskey BBQ sauce on them • Cook them for app 5 more minutes • Remove from grill and let them sit for 5 to 10 minutes ENJOY!!! 00:00 – Introduction 00:57 – Making the maple sugar 01:56 – Making the Sweet Maple Whisky BBQ Sauce 04:00 – Preparing the Maple cream cheese 04:45 – Coring the Jalapeno peppers 07:27 – Filling the peppers 10:30 – Wrapping the poppers with bacon 11:50 – Cooking the Jalapeno Poppers on the Traeger 13:33 – The taste test 14:51 – Conclusion Subscribe and follow for more awesome videos by clicking here ---- https://bit.ly/2CXCXAq?sub_confirmati... #jalapenopoppers #maplesyruprecipes #maplesugar #traegerrecipes
