Good Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning everybody. In today's message titled "The Road to Resurrection: Grace" we dig into Jesus' gift of grace and salvation given to the least likely convert—a criminal with nothing to offer. Grace is immediate, personal, and available even in life’s final moments. Our focus is on how this grace was based upon the convict's faith in who Jesus is, not on his own worthiness as revealed in Jesus' words, “Today you will be with me in paradise.” We conclude with the following "Prayer of Surrender" from John Eldredge's book "Beautiful Outlaw": Jesus, I need you. I need your life and your love. I believe you are the Son of God. I believe that your death on the cross was for me – to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I choose right now to surrender (or recommit) my life to you. I turn from my sin and self-determination and I give my life to you. Thank you for loving me and forgiving me.
