It’s another sparkling January day along the Columbia River Gorge - join me on a steadily climbing loop trail on the Washington side, beginning along Catherine Creek before heading uphill toward the overlook at the top. It’s a gentle but persistent climb, and the reward is a sweeping view of the gorge stretching for many miles east and west. The Gorge is alive today: trains rumble along the tracks below, a barge moves slowly downriver toward Portland, and Mt. Hood stands in full winter glory, bright against the deep blue sky. Overhead, jet trails crisscross the sky, adding their own patterns to the wide open view. It was a beautiful winter day to be out on the trail—come along and enjoy! Thanks for watching!
