Fred is currently the Chief Technical Product Officer for Oculi, a Rochester-based start-up in the smart sensing field. He presented this talk in the Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T)'s Rochester NY Chapter seminar series on 11 Dec. 2024. Today's image sensors are inefficient for vision AI - they were developed for human presence detection. These solutions are slow, power-hungry, and expensive.
