Dangerous Railroad Crossing Abandoned Years Ago But Still Functions! Train Comes Around Very Tight Curve On A Bridge. This Is Where CSX & Norfolk Southern Come Together For An Interchange. 2 BNSF Locomotives & A CSX SD40E3 Remote Control Locomotive Pull Around The Curve. Close Look At Mill Creek Bridge With Trains Crossing Over The Once Polluted Creek. We See Trains With DPUs, All Kinds Of Boxcars & Several Locations Near Elmwood & Winton Place, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Video Has Numerous Trains But Too Many To Count It was a cold day but it was supposed to be the only sunny day of the week so I made the trip to the Cincinnati area just north of of Queensgate and Gest Street Yards. The first spot is the abandoned railroad crossing that I filmed several years ago shortly after they closed it. It used to have signs saying no semi trucks. Shortly after a Metro bus took a detour and got stuck on it is when they closed it. I got a long pot ash train and the engineer gave a train horn salute. Most of the covered hopper cars on that train are new. I think they were built last year. I got them new in Carlisle. Cool stuff Then we go to a really interesting spot that is rarely filmed. The area has a lot of crime activity so it is rarely rail fanned. All kinds of things have happened here in the area of Kroger and the car wash. This is the only Kroger that I know of that has armed police inside. They also keep a fire truck parked out front. Does anyone know why they have parked a fire truck here for years? We also see the long lane that goes to the Canal Ridge area. I walked over to the bridge and tried to show under it. There are two bridges here side by side. On the other side of Mill Creek there is a huge dump. It looks like people live there and they might need a dumpster LOL. I got two trains passing here and I also included a special bonus clip! The day that I filmed this is when they reopened the I-471 interstate bridge that goes over the Ohio River. I filmed driving over the bridge just a few hours after it was reopened. This was during rush hour traffic and this is the lightest that I have ever seen rush hour traffic on this bridge LOL. The bridge was heavily destroyed by fire 100 days earlier. Plastic play ground equipment was under it and inspectors had notified the city for a long time to remove the play ground equipment due to fire hazard. Just like when I was an inspector for Clermont County for 20 years it is very difficult to get situations abated when you issue orders. 4 people were arrested for setting it on fire and they are serving long prison sentences.
