This is Episode #02 of my “10 Minute Walks” series. Each video is a short morning walk where I reflect honestly on where I’m at in life, how I regulate my body and mind, and end grounded in scripture. On today’s walk, I talk about frustration and anger. I work from home as an entrepreneur and usually start my mornings early. Today, I had an unfortunate experience: I lost a car seat I rent out. I exhausted every option to recover it. I wasn’t overtly angry, but I could feel frustration sitting in my body. That feeling pushed me to move. As I walked, I reflected on how I regulate emotions like anger through movement, food, and being around people, and whether suppressing negative emotions is healthy or if there’s a better way to process them. I searched the word “anger” in the Bible app and noticed something that stood out to me. Every verse I read didn’t leave space for anger; it redirected it. This walk helped me slow down, regulate my body, and choose calm rather than carry frustration. If you’re learning how to sit with difficult emotions without letting them control you, you’re not alone.
