Dr. H. Lee Sawyer is the Academic Director of Chemistry and Physics at Louisiana Tech University. He is a particle physicist, and has worked on a number of particle physics experiments in the United States and abroad. In this presentation, Dr. Sawyer explains the applications of particle physics in an easy to understand way. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
