Pianist Haruko Seki performs at Central Methodist Church, Hucknall in Nottinghamshire, the birthplace of Eric Coates. Haruko, born in Japan, enjoys playing the music of Eric Coates and played this concert for the Eric Coates Society on 6 October 2012. Sleepy Lagoon was used by the BBC to introduce "Desert Island Discs" which started in 1942 and is still running today. Sleepy Lagoon is the main musical theme of the water fountain spectacle Aquanura at the Dutch theme park Efteling . Aquanura is the largest permanent fountain show in Europe and is performed nightly on a large lake. The creators used Sleepy Lagoon as an introduction and linking music throughout the show.
