How to solve two step equations with fractions! Solving algebraic equations with fractions is easy as long as you know the rules of working with fractions! I will show you a basic example where there is only one fraction, and the necessary steps to solve for x. We will also go over how to clear fractions to solve equations as well as fractional coefficients. Clearing denominators is a great way to solve algebraic equations because it eliminates the need to add, subtract, multiply, or divide any fractions. In other examples, I include equations with only one fraction, fractions with two different denominators, and equations with 3 fractions that have all different denominators. This is a great first step to learning how to solve multi step equations in algebra.
