At first glance it looks like a vintage camper truck straight out of the 1970s, but underneath it’s been completely reworked to survive the brutal terrain of Johnson Valley, California during one of the wildest off-road events in the world. At King of the Hammers 2026, I got strapped into a full desert race truck and experienced something I was NOT prepared for. Helicopter pacing us, wide open desert, and a professional driver absolutely sending it. And that wasn’t even the craziest part of the day. We chased Bigfoot, climbed inside Bigfoot #14 (572 supercharged Ford power), explored Hammertown, and wrapped it all up with one of the wildest rides I’ve ever been on. King of the Hammers is unlike anything else — race trucks, helicopters, monster trucks, chaos, and some of the coolest people in off-road. This one is a lifelong memory.
