Flooding: Areas to Avoid for Tourists in Kuta/Legian Bali

The last 48 hours has seen an unrelenting amount of rainfall in Bali. Thankfully, the impact upon us is limited to inconvenience and the odd roadside inundation. Sadly, knee depth flooding does sometimes occur. Tourists in the Kuta area do need to avoid one main area. It is wisest to never book accomodation in the Dewi Sri area and indeed if it's raining then never go there for your meals, just in case. Aside from that, you should normally be safe from flooding everywhere else in the tourist areas, aside from ditches and drains, nearby padi fields, dodgy hotel design, and such where you'd reasonably expect a bit of inundation.
