UPDATE: The shire has decided to close Cobbler Pool to camping during the summer months. This is the info from their website: "Published on Wednesday, 30 October 2024 at 11:28:55 AM A decision has been made to close the camping area of Cobbler Pool during prohibited burning periods. The camping area is closed during summer months, due to the extreme risk this creates for the Shire and the Community. Please refer to our restricted and prohibited burning periods for dates when camping will be allowed again." Cobbler Pool is a campsite located on the Avon River west of the town of Toodyay. The best time to visit is during mid-spring to early summer as the river will probably be flowing and the area is generally green and attractive.
