With time on my side I just had to stay smooth, avoid mechanicals, and avoid flats. It was Nathan's turn to be the offense, which wasn't easy. The whole day I felt like we were pushing hard. The last 4 days of racing lingering in my legs I was on the struggle bus from the start. After wrapping up the GC 3rd place Shermy and I headed back home so we could wake up early for an overnight bikepacking trip with an awesome crew. We went from Roanoke to Floyd grabbed food, then headed to the an undisclosed campground for the night. It rained litterally all day for the trip back home.
