Nexergy Tech Solutions (P) Ltd. is a start up company collaborated with the Industrial Energy Assessment Cell (IEAC) - IIT Indore, incubated under the prestigious ACE foundation at IIT Indore. We provide various sustainability and Clean Energy services focusing on Efficiency and Carbon Mitigation assessment services. This model resembles the successful DOE program in the USA that has been operational for several years focusing on Industry – Academia collaboration. This unit is functioning in IIT Indore campus from last 3 years rolling 100 plus Energy Audits and Carbon Audits including PAT Cycle Audits covering 20 plus sectors PAN India. Rubber is one of the most profitable cash crop, it enjoys an ace position in the Indian markets. India is the world’s sixth-largest producer and second-largest consumer of natural rubber, with over 75% of production concentrated in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. With roughly 822,000 hectares under cultivation, the sector is driven by a massive automotive tyre industry (consuming 70% of output). The industry is shifting toward Northeast India for expansion, aiming to meet growing domestic demand and reduce import dependence. Like all other markets, Rubber industry also demands low carbon emissions to stick on to the sustainability certifications to export low rubber products to international and corporate markets and also responsibly commit to the nations contributions towards G20 and Net Zero targets as a key to delay climate change. A low carbon audit continued with a Farm to Gate - Green House Gas (GHG) accounting study is a foundation for every industry to have a baseline idea of emissions effected due to extraction and manufacturing processes, thereby creating a thought process to remove or mitigate emissions as a roadmap towards to Net Zero. Emissions are segregated as Scope – 1 (Direct emissions), Scope – 2 (Indirect emissions due to purchased energy) and Scope – 3 (Indirect emissions due to value chain). A major contribution to Scope – 1 and 2 emissions are from direct emissions due to fuel combustion for the purpose of tea withering, drying, power generation and due to indirect emissions due to purchased energy. Energy Audit is an effective solution to identify and account these emissions and also identify the gaps with respect to energy losses and drive energy conservation most effectively. With our experience in Energy Audits and Energy Efficiency improvements in various type of Rubber processing plants including natural rubber extraction, crumb rubber extraction, tyre processing and manufacturing, rubber based automotive products manufacturing etc. Our focus was to help the management to improve Energy Efficiency and lean manufacturing strategies for Rubber extraction and processing.
