View our complete selection of air-cooled VW parts on the JBugs website: http://www.jbugs.com/ Sam's friend and JBugs' customer, Kyle Zirkus has been building a replacement for his Class 11 "Herbie" race car that he and his friends built back when he was in high school! "Herbie" has taken a few dents and dings (and a couple of roll overs) and while he is still rolling, Kyle wanted to build a newer, more up to date Class 11 car. With the race season having already kicked off in Crandon, Wisconsin a few days before this video, Kyle was buttoning up loose ends and had a few hours spare to get the new car (and old engine) dyno tuned to make sure it was ready to race. So he headed to Geiser Brothers dyno in Phoenix, Arizona to have the crew there strap the car down and run it through it's paces! After numerous tuning changes to the timing and jets, the engine is dialed in and the Mike Depue (of Desert Dream Motorsports) built 1600cc engine put down ** horsepower and ** lb ft of torque! Not bad from a little 1600 that originally put out 50 horsepower! Watch along as Sam films some of the process, and then touches base on what he has planned for his current engine build! ------------------------------------------------------------- Follow us on our social media accounts!
