Recorded on June 14, 2025 This Honors Huskies Graduation event celebrated member's of the University of Washington's Class of 2025 who've earned Interdisciplinary or College Honors distinction with their bachelor's degrees. This video shares remarks from the Program Director and two distinguished members of the graduating class. Honors Program Director Stephanie Smallwood congratulated graduates and their guests and introduced the event's keynote speakers: @7:20 in this recording, Jaime Stout, who earned a double major Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Sociology with the distinction of Interdisciplinary Honors, reflects on the importance of rest, "questioning," and learning together across silos in this community. @16:42 in this recording, Samantha-Lynn Martinez, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a focus in ecology, evolution, and conservation, and the distinction of Interdisciplinary Honors, shares examples of why "going for it" matters and explains how important Honors has been to her journey.
