For sale is this beautiful early 70s Penco A12 acoustic dreadnought guitar. Construction is similar to vintage Yamaha guitars with laminate woods, this guitar is well seasoned and in perfect playing condition! It is literally unused and only has a few very minor dings in the top which are hard to see. Like all guitars that come to our bench, the first thing we do is a fret dressing, which levels and recrowns all the existing frets- this is not a fret replacement or fret job. This procedure is what ALL guitars should have done to them at some point. It allows the guitar to play buzz-free with good intonation. Everything on this guitar is tight and as it should be from the factory including the tuners and all the internal braces. If you've been looking for a vintage Japanese guitar, this is it. I personally have owned my maple Penco 12 string since 1974, so I have a thing for these guitars. I do believe they were made in the same factory as Ibanez and may even be an Eldger build with the Penco badge? (Eldger owned Ibanez in the early days of Ibanez). Anyway, this is a great little player for low money that gets you a genuine vintage Asian-made instrument in 100% playable condition. $225. + MA sales tax. Yes, it comes with its original chipboard case. Pick up only. No shipping, located at Guitartec Repair, 2 Franklin St, Medway, MA 02053 Text 508320-9355
