No syncs, no limit break, no arcanes! Just awakenings galore, complemented with some well-pairing usbs, and of course a few glints. The only key items from the event banner were Vanille glint+ and usb, which I aimed to pull for to have her be my physical party healer from here on out. Phase 1 has a party full break 7 secs in, but since I don’t usually chain + aasbs until 14 secs anyway, there’s no real consequence to just letting it expire naturally. Phase 2 is rather similar to the FF5 dreambreaker, where if you didn’t push him to phase 3 by his 4th turn, he’d use a move you did not come equipped to deal with (in that case, self-pentabuff + haste/proshellga). In this case, you’ll get a party-wide sleepja, so rushing phase 2 and having some luck with dualcast materia is the consistent reset point. Additionally, his 2nd turn (Seraphic Ray dispels, so you need a hastega to counter it. Phase 3 has a self-buff move you don’t want to see on turn 10, but that’s plenty of time to take him out if your timing with Tyro osb is fine. Soul Breaks used: Lightning: aasb1(lightning), aasb2(holy) Fang: Glint+, aasb, usb2(no air time) Hope: Glint+, usb2(radiant shield), aasb Tyro: Aasb, osb Vanille: Glint+2(haste/proshellga), usb4(hqc3, regenga), aasb, glint (hastega), glint+1(hqc1) RW: Chain Historia: Level 80 Some general tips/notes of interest: 1) Fang sync with HA on left ability and sky high on right ability would let you not only replicate my damage, but exceed it a lot, and for only 1 SB. If you land it from the banner, she can really do some work. 2) As usual, grace + mind break(down) + mind artifact is enough to nullify all tyro stops, but since mind break(down) lasts shorter than grace, I delayed using it for a while. 3) Lightning sync is great, but I decided to bet on RNG from her materia to go with the aasb1+2 combo, which with her HA can be devastating. If you have her sync, I imagine it would still do well enough to rush through phase 2. 4) Without Vanille’s new tech, the challenge will be starting up with the glint+ effects manually. Perhaps a mage party with Cid Raines, who has some party-wide mag buffs, could let you slot more mage and perhaps cover for Vanille. The dispel in phase 2 can be dealt with easily with her glint, which I think is lensable.
