As the celestial event unfolded, hundreds of Ahmadi Muslims gathered at Baitul Futuh Mosque, Britain's largest mosque, to uphold a sacred sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa). Following the example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) worshippers at Baitul Futuh Mosque engaged in Salat-ul-Kusoof, a special congregational prayer held during an eclipse. For Ahmadi Muslims, the solar eclipse carries an even deeper significance. The Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) declared the eclipses of 1894 and 1895 as divine signs in support of his claim, fulfilling the prophecy mentioned by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa).
