How to prepare tasty Brinjal/Eggplant theeyal Ingredients For this firstly I have cleaned and cut Brinjal into small slices 2green chilli Shallots/small red onions Garlic Curry leaves A cup of grated coconut A small piece of tamarind soaked in salt water Dried red chilli Mustard seeds Turmeric powder Coriander powder Chilli powder Oil Making Firstly Roast grated coconut in a hot pan Add a portion of shallots and 2 slice of garlic into the heated coconut Stir the contents until roasted/it turn brown Add curry leaves Now add 1/2 spoon of turmeric powder , 1spoon each of chilli powder and coriander powder Mix this well and turn the flame off Let the masala get rosted in the hot pan Let this cool Add the contents into a mixer jar Grind them Donor add water to the mixture now Add oil into a heated pan Add sliced brinjal,shallots and green chilli Add the salted termarind extract into the half cooked brinjal Close pan with a lid for 2minutes Add the grinder mixture now Add some water Add 1/4 spoon of sugar to balance flavours Let it boil and become a thick gravy Add oil in to another pan Add mustard seeds Add some shallots, red chilli and curry leaves Rost it Add it into the brinjal gravy Brinjal theeyal is ready to be served Monuz Travel & Kitchen Monu
