Dr. Khalid Masood is the 2nd regular vice chancellor of King Edward Medical College. Born in Mandi Bahauddin to a government school’s headmaster, he started his education from his home town. He completed his Matric from Mandi Bahauddin and moved to Lahore. He did his intermediate from Government College University (GCU) then known as Government College Lahore. Dr. Khalid Masood, vice chancellor of King Edward Medical College, got admission in King Edward Medical College, studied in its classrooms, wandered in its grounds and ultimately became the Vice Chancellor of the same college. Being a son of a school headmaster, he worked pretty hard to achieve this milestone. He couldn’t afford even a bicycle during his intermediate and a motorcycle during M.B.B.S. After graduation, he did house job and bought a motorcycle with the help of his brothers. After graduation, his fellows motivated to go abroad for higher qualification but he couldn’t afford it. He failed in one of his exams and got married after that failure. His marriage proved lucky for him and he passed his exam. His off springs are also M.B.B.S. students who are studying to be future doctors. Being a busy person, he couldn’t give much time to his children and family. He gives the credit of his children’s upbringing to his wife. Dr. Khalid Masood, vice chancellor of King Edward Medical College is quite religious person and considers himself as a pretty normal person. He says that the people should take Dunya and Akhirah side by side. We should not separate religion from worldly life. Karwan-e-Ilm Foundation is working for the betterment of poor students. Dr. Khalid Masood, vice chancellor of King Edward Medical College asserts that these kinds of foundations are vital in education of students. He gives the message to the people that you should work hard and leave the rest to Allah Almighty. Work hard and you will succeed in the end.
