It eventually pushes those ideas or companies forward. I kinda like to think of Behringer in this respect, so many wanted them to go away, now they have an cult following (some might say to an unhealthy level). As someone impartial I think you just have to let the story play our whether synths, Behringer or AI, you can fight against it, but in a sense you bring more attention to something that may have faded away.
