The current episode focuses on Sufism, Sufi saints, and their enduring importance not only in the Kashmir Valley but across different parts of the country. Throughout India, numerous Sufi saints have preached messages of peace, harmony, and brotherhood, leaving behind spiritual spaces that continue to unite people across faiths. One such prominent Sufi shrine is the Dargah of Hazrat Sayed Ali Saheed Bukhari in Cuttack, Odisha. Popularly known as the Bukhari Baba Dargah, this revered shrine stands as a cherished spiritual landmark within the historic Barabati Fort complex. The Dargah attracts devotees from diverse religious backgrounds, particularly on Thursdays, when people gather to seek blessings and spiritual solace. A powerful symbol of communal harmony, the shrine is visited by both Hindu and Muslim devotees. Notably, Hindu servitors have traditionally assisted in the daily rituals, reflecting the syncretic traditions associated with Sufism. Architecturally, the Dargah features a striking white dome and an arched gateway adorned with intricate marble pietra dura work, reminiscent of Mughal-era craftsmanship. Every year, thousands of devotees from multiple communities congregate at the shrine during the URS-E-PAK, observed in February and believed to mark the birth anniversary of Hazrat Sayed Ali Saheed Bukhari. The Dargah is located in close proximity to both a mosque and a temple within the Barabati Fort complex, further underscoring its message of coexistence. Situated approximately 5 km from Cuttack Railway Station and 4.3 km from the Government Bus Stand at Badambadi, the Barabati Fort itself holds immense historical significance. 0The fort was taken over by the British in 1803 following the Second Anglo-Maratha War. Today, it stands as a symbol of Odisha’s royal legacy and remains a popular destination for history enthusiasts. #JammuKashmir #Sufism #SufiyonKiVaadi #KashmirValley #SufismInKashmir #SufiCulture #KashmiriYouth Subscribe to Sufiyon Ki Vaadi & Don't forget to press THE BELL ICON to never miss any updates► https://bit.ly/3omW4bQ Sufi Saint: Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Location: Cuttack, Odisha Episode No.:616 Dated: 02 FEB, 2026 -------------------------------------------------------------- Sufiyon Ki Vaadi is a weekly Cable Program which is telecast in the Kashmir Valley and which reminds the people of the Sufi culture and tradition of the Valley.
