3D Printing Filament Friday #84 - Copper Coin Design in Tinkercad with Filamentive Copper Filament

Angus at Makers Muse and Joel the 3D Printing Nerd both created their own 3D coin. Now Chuck shows you how he made his with Tinkercad. He also makes similar to a real coin by printing it with Filamentive.com 80% copper fill filament. In this video chuck shows how he designed the coin in Tinkercad, step by step so maybe you can design your own 3D printed coin. Then he goes through the Simplify 3D setup by following the Filamentive guidelines for printing with this filament. He then prints the coin on the $200 MP Select Mini and then does some post printing work. He shows you how he brushed, sanded and buffed it up to look like a real copper object. In fact, when he is done it doesn’t look like a 3D print anymore. It looks like it was cast in copper. Watch it all on this weeks Filament Friday.
