Why has China become the number 1 country in terms of scientific research? In addition to having the world's largest population, China heavily emphasizes scientific research, and spends more than $1 Billion on scientific publishing each year. While STEM has declined among younger generations in the US, China is promoting science among children to encourage the next generation of innovators and scientists.
