Startpunkt der Tour ist am Eingangstor der Ruine Burg Baldenau, der einzigen Wasserburg im Hunsrück. Von dort wandern wir über Feuchtwiesen entlang der Quellbäche der Dhron, überqueren die Kreisstraße und steigen über hügeliges Gelände auf zur Hundheimer Quellmulde. Über weitere Feldwege vorbei an den Infotafeln Schafzucht und Rinderzucht streifen wir den Ortsrand von Hinzerath und gehen über freie Feldfläche mit flurbereinigten Feldern. The starting point of the tour is at the entrance gate of the ruins of Burg Baldenau, the only water castle in the Hunsrück. From there, we hike through wet meadows along the source streams of the Dhron, cross the country road, and ascend through hilly terrain to the Hundheimer basin.
