My First Vlog in MEXICO! Exploring the INCREDIBLE CHICHÉN-ITZÁ and my First Cenote! - Vlog #48

Today's video is a exciting one! My first vlog outside of Canada, I'm in Mexico! The start of my central America trip was a bit rocky adjusting to the heat but I finally got out on an adventure! Something quite different as it was my first organised tour in a long time! We first stopped in at Xcajum cenote, the first of many cenotes I have now visited. After the long bus journey from Cancún a dip in the water was welcome. It exuded a stunning blue colour and it was quite peaceful before the crowds rolled in. I had managed to get there earlier than most so I could relax and as you'll see, watch the fish! As I understand the cenote is more than 40 metres deep, not somewhere you would want to drop your camera! After a dip and a nice lunch we made our way to Chichén-Itzá one of the New Wonders of the World! We started with a very informative tour which I decided to listen to rather than record things. Sadly this meant I misjudged the timing so I didn't have as much time to explore as I'd liked. It was very busy but I was glad to see it. It was the first of many different Mayan ruins that I saw through central America, so it was special in that sense. It was interesting as I was used to my self guided adventures with my own car in Canada. Sticking to the tour schedule was not ideal for me, I would have liked a bit more time to explore, but such is the way of things. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video, hope you're having a great day!
