My last Adventure in Mexico began with a 2 hour bus journey from Oaxaca City. In the hostel I had seen a picture of Hierve El Agua and thought, 'ooh waterfalls'. Without doing any other research I booked the bus and away I went. As it turned out, Hierve El Agua is actually a series of rock formations that look like waterfalls. They sometimes go by the name 'cascadas petrificadas', Petrified Waterfalls, which I'd say is a good description. From a brief look or a static picture they look just like waterfalls. It is also the site of some sulphur water pools, which you could take a dip in if you wanted. I ended walking all the way around the site - not realising how big it was - and didn't end up getting in. But I was glad for the wee hike. It was a stunning location in the mountains even despite the slightly grey day. A couple days after we pick up in Oaxaca city. I decided to go for a brief wander around and record some of the sights as this would be the last place I visited in Mexico. I'd name it as one of my favourite cities in Mexico. Next week I'll be in a new country! So look forward to that. I hope you're having a great day. Enjoy the adventue!
