A follow-up to Larroquette's successful turn in 'Night Court', this 1993 sitcom wasn't all that funny, at least during its first season. With a downbeat main title and overall gloomy nature, it landed in 96th place. Producers brightened things up, starting in season two, with the mopey theme shortened and eventually replaced. The show made it to a fourth season, but then was cancelled after six episodes, leaving six more on the shelf. The original theme ('The Skrewy St Louis Blues') is performed by its composer, David Cassidy. Later a much lighter theme (by David Schwartz) took over. By then the opening titles were about five seconds long, but occasionally this new theme was allowed to be heard in the end credits. 00:00 Opening titles, original theme. 00:46 Opening titles with alternate visuals, same theme. 01:32 End credits with second theme.
