Starting its life as the second corkscrew model ever built by Arrow Development, "Chicago Loop" was also the largest indoor coaster of its time when it debuted in 1975 at Old Chicago Mall. It was dismantled in 1980 and reopened in 1982 as "Corkscrew" at the Alabama State Fair. After just four seasons there, it was moved once again, this time to Canobie Lake Park, where it ran until 2021. In 2022, the park carefully dismantled the second corkscrew and shipped it here to the museum, for eventual display. In 2025, we had secured the vendors to complete this project and with the help of our generous donors, Canobie Corkscrew has risen once again as the icon for our facility. Drivers will be able to go under this display on their way to / from our future parking lot. Learn more about this ride here: https://rcdb.com/296.htm Like what you see?
