This is my digital minimalist setup as a dumb phone user of three years, addressing the common digital tools I get asked about and how I handle them. The world seems to be built around smartphones now, so choosing to go without one can be a challenge. It's gotten easier and more normal over time, but it took a bit of creativity and lots of workarounds. My phone is pretty simple but there are a bunch of dumb and minimalist phones out there with more features. Jose Briones has a whole channel around dumb phone reviews, in case you're interested. I'm using a Nokia 3310 2g (2017 version). 2g has been phased out in the US and Canada. We still have it in Europe but it will be phasing out soon here as well and I will eventually have to switch to 4g. I mention: banking, Libby, Uber/ride sharing apps, local and international calling and texting, whatsapp, QR codes, tickets, maps/navigation, music, podcasts, photos, on-the-go entertainment, bills and insurance...
