It's a dual-project race against the clock! While Anna is in the sail loft recutting an RC44 spinnaker into a new fractional kite for Paikea, Shayne is building a brand-new carbon fiber front beam and bow sprit to fly it from. We're using sections of an old America's Cup mast to completely reinvent Paikea's front end. This upgrade is a game-changer: it's lighter, stronger, and finally gives us the ability to fly an inner forestay for storm sails and a long bow sprit for asymmetric kites. The catch? We have just two weeks to design, build, and install it all before we haul the boat for major hull repairs. This is one of our most ambitious upgrades.
