It was really important for us to begin our Skoolie Bus Conversion build with a relatively clean shell. Now that we've completed all of the demolition process, the next step was our Skoolie Floor prep. The steps to complete our Skoolie Bus Conversion Floor Prep were: 1) Clean the floor 2) Cover rust spots with a rust converter (we used Ospho and covered the entire floor) 3) Clean the floor...AGAIN. 4) Paint the floor with a rust preventive (we used Rustoleum) 5) Cover the holes in the floor (research options and do what makes sense for you) 6) Paint the floor with a rust preventive paint (we used Rustoleum) We are a family of 5, converting an old military bus into our full-time home.
