88 reps (+ or - 1 or 2, it gets boring to count up that high so we'll say close enough). Pretty happy with this. Nice change of weight for a 10 min set. Instead of chasing pure numbers, I used this set to really narrow in on technique and pace; I wanted to make sure the way I'm moving my technique (with a clear separation between the jerk and the clean phases, both on the way up AND on the way down; a lot of long cycle athletes drop straight from fixation and go straight into the clean, but after a consultation and evalution of technique with Denis Vasilev he correctly noticed and pointed out a big technical flaw in the way I was doing this). I was puzzled by the fact that I couldn't keep a steady 8rpm on my last 5' test with the 24s, so I wondered if this slightly differently paced technique was the problem. Hitting almost 9rpm while maintaining this technique style tells me it's not a technical issue that is/was holding my speed back, just the actual speed of execution and probably breaks in the rack being too long. Either way, quite happy with this one, even if not a spectacular result for my level; breathing, relaxation, focus and technique all felt locked in and on point, and HR was pretty much exactly where I wanted it to be throughout the whole set, saving enough gas for a sprint in the last minute. Followed up by some heavy lifting, split squats, presses and renegade rows.
