The gunman then apparently escaped on a waiting motorbike. It was unclear why Babar was killed. At Karachi Press Club on Friday, journalists held a demonstration, chanting and carrying placards demanding to know who had killed their colleague. The President of the press club, Tahir Hasan Khan described Babar as "young, energetic and educated".
