Join us for a front row ride on De Vliegende Hollander (Known as, "The Flying Dutchman" in English)! This one-of-a-kind Kumbak water coaster features an all-new dark ride scene which was integrated for the 2023 reopening. Your barge leaves the harbor into the open sea before being dragged into the underworld by the Flying Dutchman itself. The barge is then towed to a height of 22,5 meters. Doors open and the barge shoots in a curved declination through a tunnel. After this some airtime in a bunny hop and an 85-degree horseshoe. A steep fall and a left curve bring the barge back into the water. A special technique allows for variation in the size of the "splash", allowing the the ride to operate during Wintertime at Efteling as well as during the warmer seasons. This 4K 30FPS Front Row POV was captured using a GoPro Hero 8 via park-approved chest strap.
