He studied with Vivekananda Nag for five years before moving to Dhaka to continue training with Pandit Asit De. He also spent three years at Bengal Parampara Sangeetalaya under the guidance of Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar. Bitu has a BA and an MA in Classical Music from the Government Music College. A decorated vocalist, he was the National Champion in Classical Music (2017, 2019) and won in the Indian "Amar Bhupen Da" reality show (2015). Currently, he teaches classical music at Chhayanaut. .........................................................
