She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a specialization, is licensed in Florida and Texas, and is a National Certified Counselor. Dr. De Lima has held senior clinical and leadership roles across multiple levels of care—including direct clinical work, program leadership, executive clinical oversight, residential program development, and corporate compliance—ensuring ethical, evidence-based treatment delivery. Her clinical approach integrates trauma-informed modalities such as EMDR, CBT, and DBT within a holistic, whole-person framework. She is a national speaker on trauma, first responder mental health, and population-specific treatment approaches, with doctoral research centered on resilience and post-traumatic growth in first responders. Dr. De Lima also serves as a professor at Walden University, where she educates and supervises future counselors.
