Donna Strickland is an Emerita Associate Professor of English at the University of Missouri. After over two decades in higher ed, Donna retired August, 2019 in order to devote herself full-time to a new career as a psychotherapist. She has been a long-time practitioner of mindfulness, having developed mindful writing workshops for faculty and writers in a variety of settings. She has also taught mindfulness-based stress reduction as well as an interpersonal mindfulness practice called Insight Dialogue. She is currently a psychotherapist in private practice in Missouri and a student of psychodynamic psychotherapy. During this session Emily and Donna casually discuss the benefits and practices of mindfulness and self-care that have improved their lives. Come join the conversation.
