It's like I planned for this video to come out on the day Accurascale launched their new pannier tank model 😂 A video focusing on the Severn Valley Railway's pannier tank No.7714 on local passenger and freight turns during the line's Autumn Steam Gala on Saturday 16 September. The pannier tanks were nicknamed matchboxes owing to their boxy appearance. No.7714 represents the most numerous class of locomotives on the Great Western Railway. More than 860 were constructed between 1929 and 1950. No.7714 was built in Stoke on Trent by Kerr Stewart & Co in 1930 and is one of 250 of the class not built at Swindon. Although No.7714 herself did not operate on what is now the Severn Valley Railway, many of her clasmates did.
