Highlights of the July 2025 visit of ex-London & North Eastern Railway A3 pacific 60103 'Flying Scotsman' to the Severn Valley Railway. During the weekend of 26th and 27th July, the exclusive 'Flying Scotsman' hauled trains ran alongside the normal passenger services at the Severn Valley Railway's 'Swinging Sixties' event, which celebrated the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the scheme to preserve a section of the ex-Great Western Railway Severn Valley branch line south of the Shropshire town of Bridgnorth. Due to the dry conditions, most trains, except for those hauled by 'Flying Scotsman', were hauled by heritage diesels D9551, 20048, 20189 and D1062 'Western Courier', with steam loco', pannier tank 7714, putting in an appearance on the Sunday, assisted by London Transport liveried class 20 diesel 20142 'Sir John Betjeman'. These trains formed the first normal public passenger workings to return to the section of line between Hampton Loade and Bridgnorth, which had closed earlier in the year due to a severe landslip at Mor Brook near Eardington. Filmed over the weekend of 26th and 27th July 2025, with additional footage filmed on Monday 28th July 2025.
